Job Description
Delaware North's Patina Restaurant Group, a renowned leader in hospitality and food service, is currently seeking motivated and experienced Cooks to join our team for the prestigious PGA Championships. Delaware North is a global food service and hospitality company that operates in stadiums, casinos, parks, and iconic destinations worldwide. Patina Restaurant Group, a division of Delaware North, is known for its commitment to excellence, innovation, and delivering memorable dining experiences to guests. This opportunity is a temporary, event-based position designed to support the unique and high-energy environment of the PGA Championships, one of golf's most celebrated events.
This role offers a dynamic work schedule spanning 8 days from May 10th through May 17th, with specific shifts at the marketplace onsite at the PGA Championships. Candidates should be prepared to work one of two detailed schedules posted above, with a mandatory attendance on Sunday, May 10th, which serves as a prerequisite for working the remainder of the event days. Additionally, a bonus is offered to those who complete the full 8-day commitment without tardiness or absences, underscoring the value placed on reliability and dedication.
As a Cook for the PGA Championships with Delaware North's Patina Restaurant Group, you will be integral to preparing and delivering high-quality food that aligns with our standards of excellence and guest satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include accurately following recipes and prep sheets, measuring ingredients, using professional kitchen equipment, maintaining appropriate food temperatures, and ensuring food safety and sanitation compliance throughout your shifts. You’ll work hands-on in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, contributing to a seamless operation that enhances the overall guest experience.
The position requires physical stamina and manual dexterity to handle kitchen tasks, including chopping, mixing, and lifting heavy pans up to 50 pounds. Working conditions involve standing and walking during shifts, exposure to moderate-to-high noise levels, and operating in hot and sometimes damp kitchen environments. Candidates must demonstrate a willingness to work under pressure while maintaining meticulous attention to detail, cleanliness, and organization.
The ideal candidate will have at least six months of prior experience in a back-of-the-house foodservice role, possess fundamental math skills, and have the ability to understand and follow recipes accurately. Being available throughout the event's duration and responding promptly to the screening and scheduling teams are essential for consideration. This role provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to a major sporting event, gain valuable culinary experience, and join a team committed to teamwork and service excellence, making each guest visit memorable.
