The Pet Stylist role at Barkbus is ideal for professionals who are passionate about grooming dogs and providing exceptional 1-on-1 care during services such as bathing, cutting, shaving, and trimming. Our stylists operate independently in our Hanvey grooming vans, supported by a dedicated in-house concierge and fleet maintenance teams. This support network handles scheduling, appointment adjustments, and van upkeep, allowing groomers to focus on their craft without distractions.

We understand that some dogs may require extra time or special attention, so our scheduling is flexible and thoughtful, ensuring that every appointment reflects the groomer's needs. Our team members also benefit from manageable daily schedules centered on safety and quality, with the ability to choose from three different shift types for greater stability and consistency in their workdays.

Compensation for Pet Stylists ranges between $25 and $32 per hour, including tips, with bonus amounts from $400 to $800 per month. We offer weekly payroll with bonuses paid twice a month, providing financial stability and reward for excellent work. Our benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees and their dependents, pet insurance, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan. Paid time off is earned based on hours worked, with no annual limits, plus paid sick leave and up to 11 paid and working holidays annually.

We also support continuous professional growth by covering the costs for up to three International Professional Groomer (IPG) certifications and offer perfect attendance rewards up to $250 a year in gift cards.
