Job Description

Barkbus is a premiere mobile grooming team dedicated to the health and wellness of pups. We are passionate about providing safe, healthy, and stress-free environments for dogs and groomers alike. Our approach prioritizes quality over quantity, with manageable schedules typically involving 3 to 6 dogs per day. This philosophy allows our groomers to focus on delivering the highest level of care and attention to each pup. At Barkbus, we also handle sales and marketing, allowing groomers to concentrate on their craft without the distractions of business logistics. We foster a fun and engaging community where groomers share impressive transformations, van sightings, creative pup outfits, local recommendations, and much more. Our full-time groomers benefit from paid time off, holidays, health benefits, and 401k retirement plans, empowering them to care for themselves as well as their furry clients.Show More
The role of Pet Stylist at Barkbus is unique and rewarding. Each stylist uses their skill and love for dogs to ensure every grooming appointment is a luxurious and stress-free experience. Stylists provide one-on-one care to pups while bathing, cutting, shaving, and trimming, working independently inside our fully equipped Hanvey grooming vans. We understand that some pups require more time and care, so our support team schedules appointments tailored to each groomer's pace. Our in-house concierge and fleet teams assist with scheduling and van maintenance, allowing groomers to focus solely on their clients. Stylists enjoy manageable daily schedules that emphasize safety and quality at every appointment with options for scheduling stability through choosing one of three consistent shift types. Compensation ranges between $25 and $32 per hour, plus tips, alongside monthly bonuses from $400 to $800. Barkbus offers weekly payroll with bonuses paid twice a month, providing reliable income streams for our valued grooming professionals.

Full-time and part-time employees working at least 30 hours per week qualify for comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance for themselves and their dependents, including domestic partners. Pet insurance, a 401(k) retirement savings plan, and generous paid time off policies are also part of our benefits package. Paid time off accrues without annual limits, complemented by paid sick leave and up to eleven paid or working holidays annually. We support professional development by funding up to three International Professional Groomer certifications fully covered by the company. Additionally, groomers with perfect attendance receive annual rewards up to $250 in gift cards for vendors they select. To keep energy levels high, Barkbus offers free snacks and beverages at our local hubs throughout the workday.

The Barkbus culture is built on uplifting each other, fostering positivity and excitement, and relentlessly prioritizing safety in all aspects of our business. Our team members enjoy a supportive environment focused on continuous learning and improvement. The interview process includes submitting a resume, an initial phone conversation, a 30-minute virtual meeting with a grooming manager, an on-site technical grooming evaluation, followed by an offer letter and background check. New hires participate in a thorough onboarding plan to ensure success from day one.

Barkbus is an equal opportunity employer committed to creating an inclusive and diverse environment. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and are dedicated to providing respectful and equitable opportunities for all individuals, regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any legally protected characteristic.Show Less
