Job Description
Fieldhouse by Vibe Chefs is a distinguished culinary service company known for delivering personalized and high-quality chef services tailored to the unique needs of high-profile clients. Specializing in private chef services for professional athletes and their families, Fieldhouse by Vibe Chefs combines culinary expertise with nutritional science to support the demanding lifestyles of elite performers. The company prides itself on exceptional attention to detail, flexibility, and an ability to cater to strict dietary requirements, ensuring client satisfaction and optimal health outcomes through well-prepared, nutritionally balanced meals. Fieldhouse operates with a commitment to confidentiality and professionalism, recognizing the sensitive nature of their clientele's public profiles and lifestyle demands.
The role on offer is for an experienced personal chef tasked with providing daily culinary services to a professional NFL player and his family during the 2026 NFL season. This seasonal contract position, running from July 21, 2026, until February 15, 2027, is based in Milton, Massachusetts. Offering a competitive flat rate of $350 per day for approximately 5-6 hours of work, the position allows the chef to earn an average hourly rate between $58 and $70. The client is the professional athlete who requires meticulously prepared meals designed to meet precise macro-nutrient goals as specified by his nutritionist. The chef will also occasionally follow recipes or directions from the player’s long-term chef to maintain consistency and meet the athlete's dietary standards.
The chef's responsibilities include preparing breakfast for the athlete's wife and their two young children, assisting with packing school lunches, and cooking a hot plated lunch for the player when he returns from training. Dinner is typically prepped in advance for the entire family and left in the refrigerator. While the service schedule may vary depending on game days or team activities, it generally follows a steady routine with Sundays off most weeks, barring exceptions during Monday or Thursday game weeks.
This position demands a high level of competence, responsiveness, and attention to detail, as well as a willingness to complete small additional tasks such as letting in packages, managing entry for guests, or letting the dog out, though the primary focus remains food preparation. Travel requirements include packaging and labeling meals in advance for away games, with deliveries coordinated to be sent to the dietitian at the player's training facility. A full game schedule will be provided in advance to facilitate meal planning.
The role begins with an initial trial period as a project-based independent contractor, after which it will transition into full-time employment for the duration of the NFL season. Applicants must be prepared to commute to Milton, MA, and understand that the per diem rate includes any travel expenses incurred. Additional conditions include a background check, a valid driver's license, and commitment to a non-disclosure agreement and confidentiality agreement to protect the privacy and security of the client. Overall, this opportunity is ideal for a skilled personal chef with experience working under strict dietary guidelines, keen adaptability, and a dedication to client service in a high-paced, professional environment.
