Job Description
Zen Educate is a leading educational staffing company specializing in connecting schools with skilled, dedicated education professionals. The company is committed to simplifying the hiring process for schools while ensuring that students, especially those with special educational needs, receive the best possible support. With a strong focus on quality and impact, Zen Educate plays an essential role in fostering better educational outcomes by placing capable paraprofessionals and classroom aides in environments where they can make a meaningful difference.
Zen Educate is currently hiring Para Educators for the 2026-2027 academic year. This opportunity is ideal for individuals passionate about supporting students with special needs and seeking a rewarding role in education. The employment options available include both full-time and part-time positions, paying between $22 and $25 per hour, with payments made weekly. Work schedules are Monday through Friday, typically between 7:30 am to 3:00 or 4:30 pm, with no weekend work. This schedule supports a good work-life balance, making it a flexible career choice for many.
As a Para Educator with Zen Educate, you will play a vital role supporting licensed teachers in special education classrooms. Your responsibilities will include assisting with academic adaptations and providing support with students' self-care and social or behavioral needs. The role offers an opportunity to provide daily substitute coverage in special education classes, with potential for longer-term employment if mutual fit is confirmed. This is an excellent position for anyone who values building strong bonds with children and contributing to their educational and personal development.
Working in special education requires patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help every student thrive. Zen Educate’s Para Educators help create a safe and conducive learning environment by reinforcing taught materials, managing classroom communications, and assisting with personal hygiene and toileting when necessary. This broad range of responsibilities ensures that students receive comprehensive support tailored to their unique needs.
Joining Zen Educate means becoming part of a company dedicated to educational excellence and professional growth. The recruitment process begins well before the school year starts, allowing new employees time to complete onboarding and familiarize themselves with their roles. This approach ensures that when schools reopen, Para Educators are prepared and confident, ready to make immediate, positive contributions.
The company proudly supports educators by offering paid sick leave, a 401K plan (subject to eligibility), and weekly pay to maintain financial stability. While sponsorship or relocation assistance is not provided, the emphasis remains on matching qualified, authorized workers with suitable positions within their local school districts.
Overall, working with Zen Educate allows individuals who are passionate about education, particularly special education, to find fulfilling work where they can change lives daily. The role of Para Educator is both demanding and deeply rewarding, providing a pathway for those looking to make an impact in the school community while developing their own career in teaching support.
