Job Description
Zen Educate is a well-established educational staffing company specializing in partnering with public and charter schools across various districts. The company is dedicated to providing effective staffing solutions that support schools in hiring qualified paraprofessionals and teaching assistants. These roles are fundamental in fostering supportive learning environments, especially for students with special education needs. By creating timely and smart matches between schools and candidates, Zen Educate plays a pivotal role in strengthening school communities and enhancing the educational experiences of students with diverse learning requirements. The company prides itself on its commitment to quality service and its mission to improve educational outcomes for all students.
The position available is aimed at individuals eager to support special education students during the 2026-2027 academic year. This role is perfect for compassionate professionals who want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with special needs. Candidates will serve primarily as paraprofessionals or classroom aides, providing assistance to licensed teachers by following individualized education plans (IEP), helping with academic adaptations, self-care tasks, and addressing social and behavioral needs. The job involves daily substitute coverage in special education classrooms, with promising opportunities for longer-term engagements depending on suitability and interest.
This employment opportunity is structured as an in-person role with a weekday schedule from Monday to Friday, during school hours between 7:30 am and 3:00 or 4:30 pm, offering no weekend work. The compensation ranges from $18 to $22 per hour, paid weekly. Additionally, the company provides benefits such as weekly pay, paid sick leave, and a 401K plan subject to eligibility. Working with Zen Educate offers a chance not only to contribute meaningfully to education but also to grow professionally within a supportive and mission-driven organization. Individuals joining early will benefit from completing onboarding processes and gaining valuable experience before the academic year begins, setting the stage for success and impactful interactions from day one.
