The UCH Cares Personal Care Assistant (PCA) role at Trinity Community is an essential position focusing on providing companionship and a broad range of personal care services to seniors living independently. This full-time employment opportunity is tailored for individuals who are compassionate and dedicated to improving the quality of life for older adults. The PCA will work closely with clients in the community, assisting with activities like dressing, bathing, toileting, oral hygiene, grooming, and safe transitions. Beyond personal care, the role requires assisting with concierge services such as client transportation, light housekeeping, safety checks, companionship, running errands, medication reminders, and even pet care.

The PCA works within the framework of individualized service plans designed to meet each client’s unique needs, ensuring a personalized approach to care. Daily responsibilities also involve meal preparation and delivery, documentation and communication with supervisors, and adherence to all safety and care protocols. This role requires empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills, as assistants regularly interact with elderly residents, their families, and healthcare staff.
