The role of Personal Care Aide (PCA) at Ally Home Care is a vital position that directly impacts the well-being and independence of Clients. This position offers Care-Partners significant autonomy with flexible scheduling options including full-time, part-time, weekday, weekend, day, evening, and night shifts, accommodating various lifestyle needs. Job Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- must be authorized to work in the United States
- must have access to reliable transportation
- must be able to record visits on a reliable mobile device
- caregiving experience of at least one year is preferred
- availability for day shifts is preferred
Job Duties
- Assist Client with ambulatory mobility and toileting
- care for clothing including washing, drying, ironing, and putting away or hanging up clothes
- assist or administer bed or tub baths, sponge baths, showers, or setting up supplies
- assist Client with dressing, hair care, skin care, and mouth care
- assist with meal preparation, handling, feeding, food storage, and pest control
- record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, and respiration, and record blood sugar
- observe, record, and report self-administered medications
- recognize and report indicators of abuse, neglect, illness, etc.
- provide basic first aid and respond to emergency needs as per company policy
- provide companionship and emotional support
- record every visit accordingly on the mobile app following proper compliance procedures
