The role of Personal Banker Associate at MidFirst Bank is integral to the success of the banking center and the satisfaction of its clientele. This position combines the responsibilities of both a Teller and a Personal Banker, requiring versatility, excellent customer service skills, and sales acumen. The Personal Banker Associate is tasked with efficiently processing a variety of customer transactions while simultaneously promoting and cross-selling financial products and services to meet the evolving needs of current and potential customers. Employment is full-time, with working hours scheduled Monday through Friday from 7:15 a.m. to 6:15 p.m., and Saturdays from 8:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. The role offers competitive compensation in line with industry standards.
In this role, you will be expected to greet customers warmly and foster a welcoming atmosphere that focuses on exceptional customer experiences. You will cultivate and maintain strong relationships with customers by identifying suitable financial products and services tailored to their individual financial situations. Responsibilities also include opening deposit accounts, taking loan applications, and processing consumer loan and credit line requests. You will be expected to handle cash and point of sale transactions swiftly and accurately, all while maintaining balanced cash drawers and adhering to internal banking policies and procedures. Generating new business opportunities through networking and collaborating with centers of influence plays a vital role in expanding the bank's customer base.
The Personal Banker Associate must be a proactive team player, capable of responding effectively to customer inquiries and concerns by creating positive solutions. Additionally, the position requires a strong work ethic, high integrity, and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Outlook, and Excel. Candidates must be willing to participate in both informal and formal paid training, including a comprehensive certification process that takes place within the first few weeks of employment. This role requires physical stamina to stand, sit, type for long periods, and handle cash drawers and coin bags weighing up to 25 pounds.
