Job Description
The Performing Arts Center (PAC) is a vital cultural and educational facility that serves the school district and the broader community by hosting a diverse range of events, including theatrical productions, concerts, lectures, and community gatherings. The center is equipped with advanced technological systems such as sound, lighting, projection, and theater apparatus to provide high-quality experiences for both performers and audiences. With a commitment to fostering a vibrant arts environment, the PAC plays an essential role in supporting the school’s fine arts programs and enhancing community engagement through accessible, well-managed venue spaces.
The PAC Coordinator is a key position responsible for the effective management, scheduling, operation, and daily coordination of the Performing Arts Center. This role ensures smooth communication between staff, performers, and event organizers, and supports the overall functionality of the center. Reporting directly to the Director of Fine Arts and the Assistant Superintendent, the coordinator acts as a liaison for various school and community groups, facilitating successful event execution that aligns with organizational goals and industry standards.
The coordinator collaborates closely with technical teams and external vendors to operate PAC technology, including sound, lighting, projection, and theater equipment, ensuring all systems function optimally during events. Beyond technical oversight, the PAC Coordinator maintains detailed schedules, manages logistics, and oversees customer service aspects related to space use and event management. This requires flexibility, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
Working in this role involves managing multiple tasks simultaneously, often under tight timelines, with an emphasis on responsiveness and problem-solving. The coordinator’s role may include working evenings and weekends to accommodate event schedules, providing hands-on support during events to guarantee seamless operational flow. A preferred candidate should have experience in event coordination, performing arts management, or theater operations and demonstrate knowledge of the technological systems used in theater production.
This position is ideal for an individual passionate about the performing arts, who thrives in a dynamic environment and is dedicated to maintaining an excellent facility that enriches learning and community cultural experiences. The PAC Coordinator plays a vital role in sustaining the artistic vibrancy of the school district and its connection to the community, making it a rewarding career opportunity for suitably qualified candidates.
