Job Requirements

  • Minimum three years experience in culinary management within an athletic nutrition environment
  • knowledge of nutrition demands of athletes
  • ability to manage and lead culinary staff
  • experience with budgeting and inventory control
  • understanding of food safety standards including HACCP
  • relevant culinary education preferred
  • strong communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum three years experience in culinary management within an athletic nutrition setting
  • bachelor’s degree in culinary arts, nutrition, food science, or related field preferred
  • comprehensive knowledge of nutrition needs of athletes
  • strong leadership and team management skills
  • expertise in menu development and food safety practices
  • ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

Job Duties

  • Develop recipes and menus focusing on nutrient-dense foods to optimize health and performance
  • lead culinary staff including hiring, scheduling, performance reviews, and terminations
  • assist in establishing and managing culinary budget including menu costing and inventory tracking
  • implement food safety procedures including proper storage, FIFO approach, and product standards
  • establish vendor relationships for sourcing seasonal, local, and sustainable ingredients
  • prepare meals for business and administration sectors in coordination with player and coach nutritional needs
  • collaborate with team dietitians as part of a multi-disciplinary performance nutrition team
