The role of Per Diem PET/CT Technologist at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic presents a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to contribute to diagnostic and therapeutic imaging services within a supportive healthcare setting. This position is focused on performing PET/CT procedures and diagnostic CT exams in accordance with department protocols, ensuring patient safety and quality imaging. The technologist is responsible for administering prepared radiopharmaceuticals and contrast media, conducting general nuclear medicine imaging such as Nuclear Cardiology and dynamic flow studies, and maintaining all compliance and safety regulations. This role requires a skilled professional who can effectively communicate with patients of various age groups and medical conditions, providing clear instructions and compassionate care.

In addition to clinical duties, this position involves quality control of imaging equipment, participation in safety protocols, and maintenance of a clean and sterile environment to minimize infection risks. The PET/CT Technologist is expected to engage in continuing education programs, quality improvement activities, and teamwork to uphold the clinic's high standards of care and operational excellence. This Per Diem role offers flexible scheduling options and competitive hourly pay ranging from $28.94 to $51.63 based on factors including experience and education. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited program
  • Graduate from an approved Nuclear Medicine program
  • Associate's degree in Nuclear Medicine
  • Minimum PET/CT clinical rotation within an approved Nuclear Medicine program
  • NMTCB or ARRT(N) MRT-General Certificate
  • BLS through American Heart Association
  • Demonstrated ability to use computer keyboard and understand digital image acquisition
  • Venipuncture skills
  • Proven excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Graduate from an approved Nuclear Medicine program
  • Associate's degree in Nuclear Medicine
  • Completion of PET/CT clinical rotation
  • NMTCB or ARRT(N) certification
  • BLS certification through American Heart Association
  • Proficient in computer use and digital image acquisition
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Job Duties

  • Perform PET/CT and diagnostic CT exams according to department protocols
