This role is an exciting opportunity for individuals seeking extra income with flexible scheduling. As an Event Security Personnel working for Windwalker Group, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for all attendees at various events. Located in Plymouth, MA, this position offers $21 an hour with scheduling based on the needs of specific events. In this capacity, you will be responsible for enforcing venue policies, managing crowd safety, responding promptly to emergencies, and providing assistance and guidance to event participants to ensure a positive and secure experience for everyone involved. You will often work alongside local law enforcement and emergency services to uphold safety standards. This role requires someone who is observant, composed under pressure, physically fit, and eager to contribute to the successful execution of events by minimizing risks and fostering a secure atmosphere.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in event security or related fields preferred
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical fitness to stand and patrol for extended periods
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Clean criminal record and clear background check
  • Familiarity with security equipment
  • Knowledge of relevant security laws and guidelines
  • Valid security license or guard card as required by state law

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Additional training in security or law enforcement preferred
  • Prior experience in event security, crowd management, or related fields desirable
  • CPR/AED/First Aid certified preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Strong observational skills and attention to detail
  • Physical fitness and stamina
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Familiarity with security equipment such as two-way radios, surveillance cameras, and metal detectors
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices for event security
  • Valid state-issued security license or guard card may be required
  • Clean criminal record and background check required

Job Duties

  • Patrol designated areas of the event venue to detect and deter suspicious activity
  • Monitor crowd behavior and intervene to prevent disturbances or conflicts
  • Check tickets and credentials to ensure only authorized individuals enter restricted areas
  • Assist with crowd control and manage lines to maintain orderly queues
  • Respond promptly to emergencies, such as medical incidents, fights, or evacuations
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary
  • Conduct security screenings, including bag checks and metal detector scans
  • Provide directions and assistance to attendees, including locating amenities and exits
  • Report any incidents, accidents, or security breaches to supervisory staff
  • Follow standard operating procedures and protocols for handling security-related situations
  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while interacting with event attendees and staff
  • Attend pre-event briefings and debriefings to receive instructions and share information with team members
