Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team. This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $75,000 to $80,000 per year and plays a crucial role in managing human resource functions for one of our prominent hotel properties. The HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources including recruitment, training and development, benefits administration, and employee relations. This role requires someone who can work closely with hotel management and staff to ensure that our human resource initiatives are aligned with company values and brand standards while also complying with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

As the Human Resources Manager, you will be instrumental in cultivating a positive work environment through fair employee relations activities and effective talent acquisition practices. You will partner with centralized People Support teams to administer benefits, compensation, and leave programs, ensuring communication and implementation at the property level are seamless. Additionally, you will oversee onboarding and termination processes, develop training modules as needed to meet brand standards, and support activities that recognize and reward top performance while celebrating workforce diversity.

This position offers a unique career path with opportunities for advancement within our People Support leadership team, including potential roles such as People Support Director, Regional Director of People Support, and Corporate People Support Director. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred
  • 2 years previous Human Resources experience, preferably in a hospitality setting
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including holidays and weekends
  • Capability to stand for extended periods, walk, push, lift up to 15 pounds, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, or crouch
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred
  • 2 years previous Human Resources experience, preferably in a hospitality setting

Job Duties

  • Work with hotel managers to hire, train, schedule, coach and support associates, ensuring they perform in accordance with established brand or hotel standards and consistent with HHM core values
  • Manage and perform talent acquisition functions such as posting jobs, proactively sourcing candidates, interviewing and ensuring selection of the best qualified candidates
  • Coordinate with HHM centralized People Support functional teams to ensure benefits, compensation, leave of absence training and employee relations programs are effectively communicated and administered at the property level
  • Process new hire onboarding and terminations consistent with established standards and applicable state, federal and local laws and regulations
  • Perform employee relations activities related to creating a positive work culture, ensuring fairness in the workplace and unbiased assistance with associate issues and concerns
  • Develop and/or implement training programs as needed and/or to meet required brand standards
  • Perform activities relate to creating and maintaining a culture that recognizes and rewards good performance and celebrates a diverse workforce
  • Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program
  • Assist with functions of company’s HRIS and Payroll system to ensure timely and accurate pay periods
  • Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards
  • Execute end to end payroll processing for all restaurant and resort employees (hourly, salaried, and tipped) in strict accordance with federal, state, and local labor laws, tip pooling/crediting, overtime calculations, and meal/rest break compliance
  • Perform other duties as requested by management
