Job Description
The JCK Family of Restaurants is a multi-brand restaurant enterprise operating throughout Oregon and Washington. Known for their commitment to core values such as Leadership, Service, Teamwork, Fun, and Kindness, this organization recognizes that people are the heart of the business. With a broad presence across many restaurant brands, JCK Family of Restaurants fosters a culture where employee engagement and operational success go hand in hand. As the company expands, they are evolving their Human Resources and People Operations strategies to become more operationally aligned, people-focused, and driven by business needs. This approach emphasizes the importance of building strong partnerships between HR functions and operational leadership to improve retention, strengthen organizational health, and develop high-performing teams.
The position of People Business Partner at JCK Family of Restaurants is designed for a professional who understands both restaurant operations and human resources practice. This role involves bridging the gap between strategic plans and execution by turning enterprise-wide initiatives into practical processes, tools, and actionable operational support. Located at the corporate offices in Eugene, Oregon, the role begins with an initial 4 to 6-month training and onboarding period at this site before the partnership works across multiple brands and locations. Reporting directly to the People Operations department head, the People Business Partner functions as a trusted advisor to operational leaders, focusing on employee relations, leadership coaching, workforce strategy, organizational development, and process creation.
This opportunity suits an individual who thrives at the intersection of strategy and hands-on implementation. In the early stages, the role requires involvement in building and refining foundational infrastructure such as reporting systems, dashboards, workflows, and scalable People Operations support functions. The ideal candidate will bring strong systems thinking, an analytical approach to data and workforce metrics, and the ability to translate these insights into tangible business improvements. Effective communication and relationship-building skills are essential to influence and coach managers at various levels within the organization. The role supports the organization’s operational rhythms and EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) priorities by fostering a culture of accountability, goal achievement, and disciplined follow-through.
Joining JCK Family of Restaurants as a People Business Partner offers the chance to play an instrumental role in shaping the future of People Operations for a growing multi-brand organization. This is far from a traditional HR role; it is an opportunity to be deeply involved in the strategic and operational aspects of workforce planning, employee engagement, investigations, change management, and leadership development within a dynamic hospitality environment. Candidates with experience in multi-unit retail, restaurant, or hospitality operations who are passionate about fostering employee development and building scalable HR systems will find this role fulfilling. Additionally, preferred qualifications such as proficiency in HRIS systems, workplace investigations, bilingual English/Spanish skills, and industry-related certifications add value to this position. The organization prides itself on a supportive culture that values continuous improvement, operational partnership, and employee well-being, making it an appealing workplace for HR professionals ready to contribute to long-term organizational success.
