Job Description
Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) is a renowned industry leader specializing in the manufacture of highly engineered components and sub-assemblies. With over 30 years of experience, CPP serves the commercial aerospace, military, and industrial markets providing small to large "function critical" products. The company prides itself on its ability to deliver a "total solution" to its customers, guiding them seamlessly from concept development to the finished product. CPP boasts one of the broadest and most diverse product offerings in the aerospace manufacturing sector. Their commitment to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction positions them as a preferred supplier within a competitive and technically demanding market.
CPP is currently seeking a dedicated Penetrant Level II technician to join its Rancho Cucamonga, California team on the first shift. This full-time role reports directly to the NDT Supervisor at CPP's aerospace foundry facility. The position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging between $24 to $29 depending on experience, plus a $1 shift differential. This role also presents many overtime opportunities for those interested in additional work hours.
As a Penetrant Level II, the technician will be responsible for carrying out penetrant inspection processes in accordance with NAS 410 standards, ensuring exceptional product quality and safety. With advanced knowledge and certification in penetrant testing, the technician will evaluate parts meticulously, set up and operate standardized inspection equipment, and interpret the results to determine acceptance or rejection based on strict aerospace quality requirements.
The candidate must possess a thorough understanding of the technique's scope and limitations and be skilled at conducting system performance checks as dictated by applicable process standards. In addition to performing inspections, the Penetrant Level II personnel will provide essential guidance and supervision to trainees and Level I technicians to maintain high operational standards. This position requires familiarity with relevant aerospace codes, standards, and contractual documentation that govern nondestructive testing methods used within the company.
Further responsibilities include the ability to develop detailed work instructions from general procedures when required, with oversight from a certified Penetrant Level III. A strong foundational knowledge of related manufacturing and inspection technologies in aerospace production is essential to succeed in this role.
CPP offers a comprehensive benefits package that complements the attractive salary. This includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance options, a 401k plan with an employer match, paid vacation, sick leave, holidays, and participation in a quarterly bonus program. The company maintains a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, providing equal employment opportunities to all qualified applicants without discrimination.
The role requires compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), hence only U.S. persons as defined by ITAR — including U.S. citizens, permanent residents, political asylees, or refugees — are eligible to apply. CPP does not offer sponsorship for this position. This is a non-management role suitable for individuals seeking long-term employment at a reputable and stable aerospace component manufacturer.
Joining CPP means becoming part of a dynamic team in a company that values technical expertise, continuous improvement, and teamwork. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of penetrant testing experience, a high school diploma or GED, and NAS 410 certification in one or more NDT methods. If you are interested in advancing your career with a respected aerospace supplier that offers skilled professionals a supportive work environment and opportunities for growth, CPP invites you to apply for the Penetrant Level II position at their Rancho Cucamonga facility.
