Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of five years experience in penetrant testing
  • NAS 410 certification required
  • Must be a U.S. person within the meaning of ITAR
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. permanently without sponsorship
  • Ability to perform system performance checks and interpret results
  • Capable of guiding and supervising others
  • Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing standards and inspection technology

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Five or more years of penetrant testing experience
  • NAS 410 certification in one or more NDT methods
  • Knowledge of codes, standards, and contractual documents related to NDT
  • Ability to develop work instructions per written practice
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing and inspection technology
  • Strong communication and supervisory skills

Job Duties

  • Per NAS 410, recertify at intervals not exceeding five years by passing practical and specific examinations
  • Set up standardized equipment and process parts according to specifications
  • Interpret and evaluate inspection results for acceptance or rejection
  • Document all inspection results accurately
  • Conduct system performance checks following applicable process standards
  • Provide guidance and supervision to trainees and Level I personnel
  • Develop work instructions from approved general procedures under Level III supervision
