Job Description
Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare (TMH) is a private, nonprofit community-based healthcare system dedicated to providing high-quality care to a 22-county region spanning North Florida and South Georgia. As a prominent healthcare leader in the region, TMH employs over 6,000 colleagues who reflect the diverse population it serves, fostering a culture of inclusivity and shared commitment to health and well-being. The system features a 772-bed acute care hospital and offers a range of specialized services, including the region's only Level II Trauma Center, Primary Stroke Center, Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. TMH is also renowned for hosting some of the most advanced programs in cancer treatment, heart and vascular care, orthopedics, and surgery within the Panhandle.
Beyond its hospital facilities, TMH’s extensive system includes a psychiatric hospital, numerous specialty care centers, six residency training programs, and over fifty affiliated physician practices. This expansive network illustrates TMH’s comprehensive approach to healthcare, spanning prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation services to meet a wide array of community health needs.
TMH is currently seeking candidates interested in joining its legacy of delivering quality and compassionate healthcare as part of the maintenance team. This role serves a critical function in maintaining the infrastructure and equipment necessary for the smooth operation of patient care environments. As a member of the maintenance team, the successful candidate will be responsible for responding promptly to maintenance floor calls during the hours of 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, seven days a week, ensuring that any immediate facility upkeep needs are addressed swiftly and effectively. Additionally, this role involves performing maintenance repairs on designated equipment within the maintenance shop, contributing to the longevity and safe operation of the facility's assets.
The maintenance position reports directly to the Supervisor of Maintenance and plays an integral role in supporting the healthcare system’s operational success by minimizing downtime and ensuring a safe environment for both patients and staff. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with at least one year of job-related experience seeking a stable career in a healthcare setting where their contributions directly impact patient care quality. TMH values candidates who demonstrate reliability and a commitment to excellence, and the organization offers a supportive workplace culture that fosters professional growth and community impact. Those interested are encouraged to submit an application to become part of a respected healthcare institution dedicated to healing and innovation.
