Job Description
Sheraton New Orleans Hotel, located at 500 Canal St, New Orleans, Louisiana, is a distinguished establishment operating under the Marriott International portfolio. With a rich history dating back to 1937, Sheraton Hotels & Resorts have been a place to gather, connect, and create memorable experiences in more than 400 communities worldwide. As part of Marriott International, Sheraton is committed to diversity, inclusivity, and providing equal employment opportunities, welcoming associates from various backgrounds and honoring their unique talents and experiences. This globally recognized hospitality brand prides itself on creating a sense of belonging for both guests and employees alike, offering an engaging workplace culture where individuals can grow and thrive.
The Sheraton New Orleans Hotel is currently seeking full-time Guest Service Support Experts to join their Food and Beverage & Culinary team. This non-management position offers a competitive hourly wage of $15.00 and shifts spanning open availabilities, including day and evening shifts starting from 10 AM up to 1 AM. The Guest Service Support Expert role is integral to ensuring smooth food and beverage operations by delivering frontline support services that enhance the overall guest experience. This role involves multiple responsibilities such as setting tables, assisting kitchen staff where needed, cleaning work areas, and replenishing supplies. The focus is on creating a memorable and unique experience for guests rather than merely serving food and drinks.
This position requires individuals to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, adhere strictly to company policies and quality standards, and contribute to a safe workplace environment. Physical demands include being on their feet, walking, standing, or sitting for extended periods, and handling objects weighing up to 25 pounds independently or 50 pounds with assistance. This hands-on role requires bending, twisting, and other physical movements to efficiently support daily operations.
While prior experience in food and beverage service is preferred, it is not a mandatory requirement, making this an excellent opportunity for those looking to start or grow their career in hospitality. The ideal candidate will be a motivated team player who takes initiative, demonstrates excellent customer service skills, and enjoys contributing to a positive and professional work atmosphere. Sheraton fosters a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment where employees can flourish and be valued for their contributions.
Joining Sheraton means becoming part of a legacy known as 'The World’s Gathering Place.' Here, associates not only have the chance to do their best work but also to embark on a fulfilling career path in the hospitality industry. The role offers a unique opportunity for personal and professional development and to be part of an amazing global team where your efforts directly impact guest satisfaction and the continual success of the hotel. If you are excited to deliver meaningful guest experiences and work within a reputable and supportive brand, Sheraton New Orleans Hotel is eager to welcome you aboard.
