The role of a Shift Leader at Pei Wei is crucial to maintaining the smooth and efficient functioning of the restaurant during each shift. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 6 months shift lead experience for external candidates
  • 4 months Pei Wei experience for internal candidates
  • Certified food handler
  • Ability to stand and walk for 4 to 10 hours per shift
  • Ability to reach bend balance and transport objects up to 30 lbs repeatedly
  • Ability to hear with 100 percent accuracy with correction
  • Ability to see at 20/20 vision with correction
  • Comfortable leading a team and taking initiative
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Effective communication skills
  • Commitment to company values and team success

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 6 months shift lead experience for external candidates

  • Certified food handler

Job Duties

  • Certified trained in culinary and front-of-the-house operations and can perform duties and coach verify on a daily basis
  • Certified food handler and can effectively teach and execute company safety and health procedures
  • Effectively communicates through live conversations email etc to team members management and RSO
  • Acts as a role model in behaviors dress and guest interaction exhibits desired Pei Wei behaviors and standards and is a role model for dress behavior and interaction with guests and team members
  • Effectively leads the team during the shift through coaching delegation and verification
  • Effectively follows executes shift responsibilities as outlined on mod checklist to include admin reporting scheduling SMG scores cash handling opening closing duties inventory ordering etc
  • Effectively supports the onboarding training process to include scheduling
  • Effectively performs cash handling procedures according to company policies
  • Effectively handles guest relations and can coach team on behaviors to improve the guest experience
  • Promptly escalates any employee relations concerns to the gm
  • Attends all store manager meetings
  • Effectively executes other tasks duties as assigned
