The role of the Kitchen Staff includes preparation and cooking of all food menu items following company specifications to ensure consistency and satisfaction. Responsibilities extend to stocking the pantry station fully before each shift to guarantee smooth operations throughout the day. Additionally, it requires managing the setup, operation, breakdown, and cleaning of all kitchen equipment to maintain functionality and compliance with health regulations. Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of proper handling of all chemicals used within the building, ensuring the safety of all team members and guests. Familiarity with operating the POS system is necessary for accurate order processing and efficient communication between the kitchen and front-of-house.

This position demands an ability to learn and recall detailed menu items and recipes, including guidance to guests regarding menu options such as spiciness levels and special dietary modifications like gluten-free alternatives or allergy accommodations. Proper sanitation practices and adherence to safety procedures are critical. Holding a current Food Handler's Card, where applicable, is mandatory. The job involves physically demanding work requiring the ability to withstand various levels of temperature, often working in warm or extremely warm kitchen environments, and handling deliveries to stock and organize supplies efficiently. Maintaining cleanliness by washing dishes, sweeping and mopping floors, sanitizing utensils, and general upkeep of the restaurant’s areas is part of daily duties.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience as a prep or line cook
  • valid Food Handler's Card where applicable
  • ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • ability to lift and transport objects up to 30 lbs
  • good vision with or without correction
  • good hearing with or without correction
  • ability to work in warm to extremely warm temperatures

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of cooking and knife handling skills
