As the only locally governed, faith-based, not-for-profit health system in the region, Baptist Health operates over 200 locations, including six hospitals, delivering a wide spectrum of preventive and specialty care services. This extensive network includes centers of excellence such as the Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center, Baptist Heart Hospital, Baptist Neurological Institute, and Wolfson Children's Hospital. As a Pediatric Nutrition Technician, you will be entrusted with the preparation of feedings using aseptic techniques, verifying orders, fortifying, mixing, labeling, storing, and delivering breast milk and formula across a 24-hour period. You will catalogue and manage mothers' milk and donor milk, including the ordering process for donor milk to maintain adequate supplies. Your duties will also include ensuring cleanliness and sanitation of preparation areas and necessary supplies, maintaining compliance with hospital policies and state regulations. This position is vital to the overall pediatric care team, directly impacting the health outcomes of vulnerable infants and children all while supporting nutritional protocols established by healthcare professionals.

Candidates who pursue this role will find they contribute not only to the immediate nutritional care of young patients but also to the broader mission of Baptist Health – ensuring outstanding care for the community. Additionally, applicants must be prepared to undergo a level II background screening as part of the hiring process, aligning with regulatory compliance for positions of trust. This requirement emphasizes Baptist’s commitment to patient safety and professional standards.
