The role available at Golisano Children’s Hospital, part of Lee Health, is a full-time pediatric diabetes educator position. This vital role is based in Fort Myers, Florida, and operates primarily during the first shift from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM from Monday through Friday. Offering a competitive hourly wage ranging from $31.78 to $42.90, this position also includes a substantial relocation bonus of $8,500 for qualified candidates. The pediatric diabetes educator will be the primary educator supporting pediatric patients living with diabetes, developing and managing an inpatient education program tailored to this unique patient population. The role involves spearheading staff education initiatives, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and championing diabetes care improvement projects within the facility. Moreover, the educator serves as a diabetes education ambassador, providing consultation and promoting best practices in diabetes management across departments and services.

Job Requirements
- associate degree in health-related profession
- minimum of 2 years pediatric experience
- Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) certification required or must obtain within 1 year of hire
- National Registration as a registered dietitian if dietitian
- current license as RN in Florida or Florida Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- must be flexible
