The role of Medical Director of Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care within the Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters is a leadership position tailored for a physician with a passion for pediatric critical care and a vision for driving excellence in cardiac care. This role involves overseeing the Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care Unit, ensuring the delivery of top-tier clinical services, and leading an esteemed academic team dedicated to improving outcomes for pediatric cardiac patients. The successful candidate will engage with a multidisciplinary team in a high-volume, fast-growing cardiac service line. CHKD currently performs around 120 pump cases annually, with ambitions to nearly double this volume to 200 cases by 2026, supported by a newly established Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU).
