About the Role: The role of the Pedal Wagon Captain/Tour Guide is pivotal to the company’s mission of creating memorable experiences. As the heart and face of the company, the Captain is responsible not only for the safe operation of the Pedal Wagon but also for entertaining and engaging guests throughout the tour. The Captain ensures compliance with legal regulations including adherence to alcohol policies, city and state transportation laws, and rider safety protocols. Job Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass a standard background and driving record check
- Flexible availability including evenings and weekend hours
- Must be 21 or older
- Physically able to move a wagon pushing minimum of 50lbs
Job Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a standard background/driving record check
- Flexible availability including evenings and weekend hours with majority of shifts on weekends
- Must be 21 or older
- Physically able to move a wagon (push a minimum of 50lbs)
- Experience in the service industry preferred
- Experience in the tourism industry preferred
Job Duties
- Remain in complete control of the Pedal Wagon during scheduled shift
- Communicate with Pedal Wagon management on weekly scheduling and specific cruise details
- Ensure each rider has completed the liability waiver agreement and check identification for verification prior to start of cruise
- Ensure each rider has adhered to the Alcohol Policy put forth by the State of Ohio
- Adhere to all city and state transportation and safety laws while driving the wagon
- Communicate regularly with cruise group on amount of time allotted for each destination
- Stay on schedule to start and end cruises at proper times
- Remain in constant communication with management during shifts via Slack or text regarding stops, issues, incidents
- Ensure riders are having a memorable, safe time
- Responsible for cleaning and storing wagon after all cruises are complete in designated garage area
