Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or graduate of culinary school
- 36 months experience in food services including 12 months supervisory experience
- Advanced knowledge of customer and personal service
- Advanced knowledge of state food handling and cleanliness laws
- Advanced knowledge of kitchen equipment and supplies
- Working knowledge of profit and loss statements
- Excellent verbal, listening, and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to plan health-conscious menus
- Ability to interpret information
- Ability to speak, read, and write clear, concise English
- Detail oriented for data accuracy
- Ability to communicate and build rapport with students, faculty, and staff
- Ability to supervise staff and communicate directions and expectations
- Cash handling experience
- ServSafe certification
- Sanitation certification may be required upon employment
- Willingness to undergo background check
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Coordinate food preparation and serving of food
- Monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes, and presentation of food
- Oversee inventory and procurement to ensure adequate supplies and equipment
- Monitor safety and cleanliness of facility and equipment adhering to standards
- Assist with preparation of master menus
- Oversee cash register operations and prepare daily cash report
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve complaints
- Prepare reports on facility operation, sanitation, food preparation, and complaints
- Maintain regulatory, compliance, and operational records
- Open and secure facility
- Assume responsibility for a second shift if needed
- Attend meetings, trainings, and work-related classes
- Perform various duties to successfully fulfill position functions
