Job Description

Parkview Health is a renowned healthcare provider dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care across its numerous facilities. Among its specialized centers, the Parkview Cancer Institute (PCI) stands out as a leading institution committed to supporting individuals affected by cancer through comprehensive oncology services. Parkview’s commitment to excellence is reflected in its focus on compassionate patient interactions and its innovative approach to healthcare delivery. The institute operates with a mission to enhance patient outcomes by combining state-of-the-art medical treatment with compassionate support and patient-centered services.

The role of Concierge Services Representative at the Parkview Cancer Institute (PCI) is pivotal in ensuring that patients and their families receive warm, efficient, and personalized care from the moment they arrive. Operating at the circle drive and main lobby entrances, this position involves greeting patients and their families, assisting with wheelchair needs, and managing a modified valet practice designed to improve the overall patient experience. The Concierge is not only a welcoming presence but also acts as a resource by providing information, directing patients to appropriate service points, and ensuring that the PCI environment is both safe and inviting.

This part-time evening position, with a schedule from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm, encompasses responsibilities that go beyond simple reception duties. The Concierge Services Representative must uphold high standards of professionalism while screening for COVID protocols, answering queries with courtesy, and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times. The role also requires regular monitoring and upkeep of the lobby and waiting areas, ensuring they remain organized, clean, and stocked with amenities such as water and coffee.

In addition to front desk duties, this role supports the clerical operations of the physician practices under the direction of the Concierge Services Manager. This includes assisting with patient demographic and financial information to facilitate quality care and scheduling appointments for specialized services like those offered by the Wig Boutique. Furthermore, the Concierge Services Representative has oversight responsibilities within the Resource Center, ensuring that patient resources are accessible and well-managed.

Candidates for this position should bring a background that includes a high school diploma or GED, with medical terminology or hospitality experience being advantageous. Required computer proficiency and customer service experience are essential to handle the varied and dynamic nature of the role efficiently. Communication skills are critical, as the Concierge must engage effectively with a diverse patient population, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.

Overall, this position offers an enriching opportunity to be a frontline ambassador at one of the leading cancer institutes, where compassionate care meets operational excellence. Parkview Health fosters an environment conducive to career growth, offering benefits such as health insurance, educational assistance, and professional development programs, ensuring that employees not only contribute to patient health but also thrive in their own careers.
