The PBX Operator position at Stonebridge is a full-time, non-exempt role critical to the hotel’s communication and guest service operations. Typically reporting to the Front Office Manager, this role carries a pay range of $17 to $18 per hour, reflecting the value the company places on effective communication and guest relations. The PBX Operator is responsible for managing all incoming and outgoing calls within the hotel, ensuring that every interaction is handled promptly, courteously, and professionally according to hotel standard operating procedures. This position is central to the guest experience, serving as the first point of contact for guests and associates calling the hotel. The role demands exceptional customer service skills, the ability to multitask efficiently, and a keen understanding of the hotel’s layout, services, and emergency procedures.

Accurate message delivery and maintaining guest privacy are crucial components of the job. Additionally, the operator must be familiar with hotel emergency protocols and VIP guest procedures, ensuring a smooth flow of communication during critical situations. Acting as the hotel’s radio dispatcher, the operator follows strict radio and paging protocols, recording and following up on guest requests to guarantee timely execution. Wake-up calls are managed, and a filing system for guest registration is maintained, showcasing the operator’s organizational capabilities.
