Job Requirements

  • High school degree or GED
  • Prior experience in healthcare field preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Cadence, and Connect Care preferred but not required
  • Healthcare or medical receptionist experience preferred
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Typing speed of 40 words per minute
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to engage professionally with staff and patients
  • Basic math skills

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Greet patients and community members with strong communication and excellent customer service skills
  • Process admission paperwork and perform basic insurance verification ensuring accurate patient identity for hospital billing systems
  • Answer internal and external calls in a friendly and helpful manner
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly
  • Ensure patient flow is maintained and notify supervisor of any department and patient issues immediately
  • Coordinate and prioritize bed placement needs to ensure prompt and appropriate placement of patients
  • Perform other duties as assigned
