Job Description

Prisma Health Urgent Care is a prominent healthcare provider known for offering timely and compassionate urgent care services to communities. As part of the larger Prisma Health system, it is dedicated to delivering high-quality medical care in an accessible, patient-centered environment. Prisma Health Urgent Care operates multiple centers designed to handle a wide range of non-emergency medical conditions with the efficiency and professionalism patients expect from a leading healthcare organization. The centers emphasize a holistic approach to patient wellness, incorporating cutting-edge medical technology and a welcoming atmosphere to ensure every patient receives attentive care. As a respected institution in the healthcare community, Prisma Health prioritizes continuous professional development, community engagement, and a supportive workplace culture that values respect, integrity, and teamwork.

The Patient Service Representative (PSR) role at Prisma Health Urgent Care is crucial in providing an exceptional first impression and ongoing support for patients visiting the clinic. This full-time position is structured with a flexible schedule of three 12-hour shifts, spanning from 8 AM to 8 PM, with no overnight hours, thereby offering an excellent work-life balance for employees. The PSR acts as the initial point of contact, welcoming patients with a warm and friendly demeanor and ensuring that their experience is smooth from check-in through to discharge. The role involves managing front-office operations which include greeting and assisting patients, handling various administrative tasks, verifying insurance benefits, collecting payments, and supporting the clinical team to facilitate a seamless workflow.

Those who excel in this role are detail-oriented professionals who thrive in fast-paced settings and enjoy engaging with patients and healthcare teams. The PSR is instrumental in enhancing patient satisfaction through effective communication, meticulous organization, and safeguarding patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and OSHA standards. Furthermore, the position requires proficiency in computer systems and electronic medical records, notably EPIC software, to manage patient data efficiently and accurately. Individuals in this role must also embrace continuous learning opportunities and contribute positively to the clinic’s collaborative environment.

By becoming a Patient Service Representative at Prisma Health Urgent Care, employees benefit from competitive pay along with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, prescription, and even pet insurance. They also enjoy paid time off, holidays, and a 401K plan with company match, all of which emphasize the organization’s commitment to the long-term well-being and professional growth of its staff. Additional wellness support through an Employee Assistance Program and wellness initiatives further enhances the work experience. The role promises not only a stable career path with leadership opportunities and professional development, but also the chance to make meaningful impacts in a health-oriented workplace that values kindness, excellence, empowerment, resilience, and proactive service. Candidates who are passionate about patient care and ready to be part of an esteemed healthcare team are encouraged to join Prisma Health Urgent Care and contribute to something greater every day.
