Sodexo is currently seeking a Patient Food Service Manager based at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. This strategic leadership role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of patient feeding operations within the medical campus, ensuring a seamless and high-quality food service experience for patients. As the Patient Food Service Manager, you will lead, mentor, and develop a dedicated team comprising frontline staff, managers, supervisors, and team leads. You will work collaboratively with nursing staff and patients to meet and exceed their expectations for room service dining.

This role demands a hands-on manager with proven leadership skills capable of managing daily patient room service operations efficiently. Responsibilities include managing scheduling and training of frontline teams, enforcing department safety and sanitation protocols, ensuring operational standards align with and surpass industry benchmarks, and fostering an inclusive culture that encourages employee engagement. Additionally, this position involves regularly rounding with patients and nursing staff to gather feedback and promote exceptional patient satisfaction. Job Requirements

  • associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • minimum 2 years management experience in food service industry
  • minimum 2 years work experience in food or culinary services
  • strong customer service and service recovery skills
  • proven ability to lead teams and enforce safety and sanitation protocols

Job Qualifications

  • associate's degree or equivalent experience

  • 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering, institutional services, or mall food courts
  • exceptional customer service skills
