Sodexo is currently seeking a Patient Services Manager to join the team at McClaren Macomb located in Mount Clemens, MI. This healthcare-focused role is pivotal in managing the patient dining program within the hospital and ensuring that patients receive exceptional dining experiences that directly contribute to their comfort and satisfaction during their stay. The Patient Services Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire patient dining program, which includes managing daily meal rounds, conducting food quality and tray presentation assessments, and ensuring tray accuracy. The role also involves collaborating closely with clinical and interdisciplinary teams to enhance the overall patient experience, addressing patient concerns promptly, and using patient feedback to implement continuous service improvements.

In addition to direct program management, the Patient Services Manager leads and develops frontline staff, ensuring that service standards meet or exceed Sodexo’s rigorous quality benchmarks and that the team consistently delivers compassionate and patient-centered service. A critical aspect of the role is to exceed established service levels, achieve successful compliance with regulatory inspections and audits, and drive initiatives that enhance patient satisfaction scores. The ideal candidate embodies a passion for patient care, strong leadership skills, and a detailed-oriented approach to managing food service operations in a healthcare setting. Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • Two years of management experience
  • Two years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Knowledge of nutrition and specialized diets
  • Ability to maintain the highest of standards and implement company policies
  • Passion for patients and customers ensuring Sodexo CARES behaviors are followed daily
  • Strong management skills preferably in healthcare

Job Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • Two years of management experience
  • Two years of experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, or mall food courts
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Knowledge of nutrition and specialized diets
  • Strong management skills preferably in healthcare
  • Ability to implement company policies and maintain high standards

Job Duties

  • Evaluate and develop service levels for the overall patient services program targeted to exceed patient and customer satisfaction
  • Oversee Sodexo’s Patient Dining Program and daily meal rounding inclusive of service recovery
  • Collaborate with clinical, food service and interdisciplinary teams to enhance the patient experience
  • Perform tray assessments to ensure food quality and presentation and tray accuracy
  • Exceed Sodexo standards for Gold Checks and achieve successful regulatory inspections and audits
  • Perform management functions that include direct supervision of hourly associates including employee development
