Job Description

Prisma Health Urgent Care is a leading healthcare provider specializing in delivering high-quality, urgent medical services to patients in a friendly, efficient, and compassionate environment. Operating under the comprehensive Prisma Health system, this urgent care network is renowned for its dedication to patient-centered care, offering immediate access to medical attention for non-life-threatening conditions. The organization thrives on a collaborative approach that supports wellness, rapid diagnosis, and treatment, with an emphasis on creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patients. Staff members at Prisma Health Urgent Care are encouraged to embrace the values of kindness, excellence, empowerment, resilience, and proactive service, making it an inspiring place for healthcare professionals who wish to grow their careers while making meaningful impacts on their communities.

The role of a Patient Service Representative (PSR) at Prisma Health Urgent Care is pivotal in shaping the patient experience from the moment they enter the facility. This position is tailored for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented individual who excels in multitasking and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare setting. The PSR acts as the first point of contact, providing a warm welcome and ensuring that patient interactions are handled smoothly, efficiently, and with genuine care. Beyond greeting and assisting patients, this role encompasses managing essential front-office operations such as insurance verification, documentation, financial responsibilities, and compliance with healthcare regulations like HIPAA and OSHA.

Working as a Patient Service Representative at Prisma Health Urgent Care means you are integral to the seamless functioning of the clinic. This role demands strong communication skills and an ability to work across multiple technological platforms, including Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, particularly EPIC. With a full-time schedule consisting of 3-day, 12-hour shifts from 8 AM to 8 PM and no overnight duties, the position offers a balance between professional responsibilities and personal life. Prisma Health supports its employees with competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, prescription, and pet insurance, paid time off, holidays, 401K with company match, wellness programs, and opportunities for professional development and leadership growth.

As part of the PSR role, you will support the practice manager, healthcare providers, and other team members to maintain operational excellence and patient satisfaction. The position also involves quality assurance tasks to ensure compliance with relevant healthcare standards and may require travel between Prisma Health Urgent Care locations to meet staffing needs. Ideal candidates are proactive team players with a passion for customer service, detail-oriented administrative skills, and a commitment to maintaining healthcare compliance.

If you are looking for a meaningful career where your contributions impact patient care and support healthcare professionals in providing outstanding urgent care services, Prisma Health Urgent Care invites you to join their team and be part of a mission-driven organization dedicated to health and wellness.
