Job Requirements

  • High school degree or GED
  • Prior experience in healthcare or related field preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred but not required
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Cadence, and Connect Care preferred but not required
  • Healthcare or medical receptionist experience preferred
  • Ability to type 40 words per minute
  • Strong communication skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Basic math skills

Job Duties

  • Greet patients and community members with respect while providing strong communication and customer service
  • Process admission paperwork and perform basic insurance verification
  • Answer internal and external calls in a friendly and helpful manner
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly
  • Maintain patient flow and immediately report any department or patient issues to Supervisor
  • Coordinate and prioritize bed placement needs for timely and appropriate patient placement
  • Perform other duties as assigned
