Sun River Health is currently seeking a Full-Time Patient Representative/Front Desk Receptionist to join their team in Yonkers, NY. This critical role serves as the first point of contact between patients and the healthcare facility, playing an integral part in facilitating patient access to health services. The Patient Representative is entrusted with delivering excellent customer service and efficient handling of patient registration and appointment processes. They will engage directly with a diverse patient population, requiring well-developed interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity. The position involves managing multiple responsibilities including appointment scheduling, insurance verification, fee collection, and distributing educational and informational materials to patients.

Job Requirements

- 2-4 years of relevant work experience
- Bilingual in English and Spanish, oral and written
- Effective communication skills

Job Duties
- Assist with daily reception activities and ensure all patient service processes are initiated
- Communicate effectively with team members and patients about all aspects of service
- Handle telephone and mail contact with patients
- Schedule patient appointments and manage fee collection
- Explain services and charges for patient services
- Distribute patient materials including satisfaction cards and patient rights information
- Verify all insurance and set fees based on the sliding scale fee
