The role of Nutritional Services Host at Parkview Health is an essential position focused on delivering excellent customer service in patient nutrition services. Reporting to the Nutrition Services Manager and Supervisor, this role involves ensuring high standards of service throughout the food delivery process, basic food preparation, and assisting with guest and staff meal services. Additionally, the host will support tube-feeding procedures, adhering strictly to food safety regulations and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe and healthy environment. This position requires flexibility, as the host may be needed to work across various Parkview entities, providing consistent and exemplary service wherever needed. As part of the Nutrition Services team, the host plays a vital role in enhancing patient satisfaction and supporting the overall healthcare mission of Parkview. The position is full-time, benefit-eligible, with evening shifts scheduled from 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM. Job Requirements
- must be at least 16 years of age
- must be able to lift 40 pounds
- must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
- must be able to multi-task and work independently
- must be able to perform physical demands such as standing, walking, stooping and bending frequently
- must be able to use departmental equipment as outlined
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma/GED preferred
- minimum 2 years experience in hospitality or customer service preferred
- previous experience in nutritional services in a medical or hospital setting preferred
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- ability to multi-task and work independently using critical thinking
- ability to use departmental equipment
Job Duties
- deliver patient food service
