The Nutritional Services Host works under the direction of the Nutrition Services Manager and Supervisor, focusing on delivering excellent customer service in all service areas. This includes patient food service delivery, basic food preparation, serving meals to guests and staff, and managing tube-feedings with care and precision. The role also entails strict adherence to food safety regulations and sanitation guidelines to ensure the highest standards of hygiene and patient safety. Flexibility is required as this position may involve working across multiple Parkview Health entities.
Ideal candidates will have at least a high school diploma or GED, with a preference for those who have experience in hospitality, customer service, or general labor, especially within nutritional services in a medical or hospital setting. Candidates must be at least 16 years old and capable of performing the physical demands of the job, including lifting up to 40 pounds and frequent standing, walking, stooping, and bending. Excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask and work independently using critical thinking are essential. Familiarity with departmental equipment and a commitment to upholding food safety and sanitation standards are also required.
