Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous food service experience preferred

Job Duties
- Assist patients in completing menus
- Visit assigned patients for menu selection and offer alternative food selections
- Review patient files and record diet changes
- Complete patient menu selections within designated time frames
- Compile menu information for kitchen personnel
- Notify clinical nutritionist of any patient concerns
- Monitor and deliver nourishments to assigned nursing units
- Prepare nourishment orders and restock as needed
- Maintain stock levels of nourishments
- Ensure nourishment labels reflect expiration dates
- Monitor and record temperatures on nourishment refrigerators
- Set up tray line according to procedures and ensure temperatures of food
- Place appropriate food on trays according to menu and diet requirements
- Serve food following portion control procedures
- Check trays for appearance and arrangement
- Deliver food carts to patient floors on time
- Serve trays with proper etiquette and company policy
- Pick up trays after meals
- Record percentage of food eaten by patients
- Return food carts to kitchen
- Maintain working area according to infection control and safety policies
- Keep work area safe and sanitary
- Utilize kitchen equipment appropriately and safely
- Follow procedures for isolation patients
- Observe sanitation procedures before handling utensils and food items
- Perform other duties as assigned
