Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- must have a valid driver's license
- ability to work all varying shifts including rotating days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to perform essential job functions satisfactorily including visual acuity and communication skills
- commitment to Avera’s mission, vision, and core values
- ability to maintain confidentiality
- ability to comply with safety principles, laws, regulations, and standards such as CMS, The Joint Commission, DHHS, and OSHA
- ability to work effectively in a team environment
Job Qualifications
- High school or GED equivalent preferred
- prior experience in food service preferred
- valid driver’s license
- ability to communicate effectively with others
- visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
- ability to hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds
- ability to work all specified shifts
Job Duties
- Prepare food items for patients, cafeteria, and catering
- meet standards established by leadership for food preparation, quality, sanitation, and efficiency
- accurately prepare patients trays
- deliver all products according to time schedule set for the specific item
- make recommendations to leadership for all menus
- complete daily assigned cleaning in accordance with approved standards
- deliver excellent customer service by utilizing the appropriate scripts developed for Food and Nutrition Services
