The Patient Food Services Manager 2 role at Abbott Northwestern Hospital is a pivotal leadership position within Sodexo's healthcare division. This role is responsible for overseeing the back of house patient food service operations, ensuring that every element of meal delivery is executed at the highest standards to enhance patient satisfaction and outcomes. The manager leads a team of hourly associates and collaborates closely with clinical staff and interdisciplinary teams to continuously improve the patient experience through innovation, compliance, and quality control. Key responsibilities include evaluating and developing service levels, performing tray assessments to maintain food quality and presentation, and managing regulatory inspections and audits to meet and exceed Sodexo’s standards. This position requires strong leadership capabilities, a passion for patient care, and a solid understanding of nutrition and dietetics. Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • minimum 2 years of management experience
  • minimum 2 years of work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services or similar environments
  • excellent leadership and communication skills
  • knowledge of nutrition and specialized diets
  • ability to implement company policies and maintain high standards

Job Duties

  • Evaluate and develop service levels for the overall Patient Services Program targeted to exceed patient and customer satisfaction
  • collaborate with clinical, food service and interdisciplinary teams to enhance the patient experience
  • perform tray assessments to ensure food quality and presentation and tray accuracy
  • exceed Sodexo standards for Gold Checks and achieve successful regulatory inspections and audits
  • perform management functions that include direct supervision of hourly associates including employee development
