The company is committed to delivering innovative and efficient services that enhance the customer and employee experience. Sodexo’s presence in healthcare settings is particularly prominent as they partner with hospitals and healthcare systems to provide integrated food service and support operations that prioritize patient care and satisfaction.
Sodexo is currently seeking a motivated, hands-on Patient Dining Manager for Yale New Haven Health in New Haven, CT. Yale New Haven Health is recognized as one of the nation’s leading academic healthcare systems, offering comprehensive clinical care, research, and educational programs. This role provides an exceptional opportunity for an emerging leader passionate about service excellence to join a respected global organization and build a rewarding career in healthcare food service management.
As the Patient Dining Manager, you will play a vital operational leadership role responsible for overseeing daily patient food service operations. Your duties will include managing kitchen support, tray line activities, meal delivery, and tray retrieval ensuring all patient services surpass Sodexo’s and the hospital’s high standards for quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. You will lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 35 to 40 union frontline employees, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Managing staffing levels, workflow, and operational performance to guarantee efficient service delivery is also a key part of this role.
In addition to overseeing daily operations, the Patient Dining Manager will manage payroll processes and support daily labor management activities. Working closely with nursing and hospital leadership, you will collaborate to enhance the patient experience and promptly resolve any service concerns. Ensuring compliance with food safety, sanitation, regulatory, and hospital policies remains a critical responsibility, and you will utilize technology platforms to streamline patient dining operations, generate reports, and track performance metrics.
This position offers a fair and equitable salary that is partially determined by your education and relevant experience, with salary offers reflecting an individual’s specific skills, training, and background. Sodexo provides a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision care, wellness programs, 401(k) plan with matching contributions, paid time off, company holidays, career growth opportunities, and tuition reimbursement. More detailed benefits information will be provided upon hire.
Candidates ready to take the next step in their leadership journey and eager to contribute to a large healthcare organization with a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion will find this role especially rewarding. Sodexo’s values include treating every employee fairly and respectfully, encouraging diversity of thought and expression, and fostering an environment where every team member can thrive. As part of the Sodexo team, your contributions will help create a better everyday for everyone, impacting patient care and representing the company’s mission of improving quality of life globally.
