Job Duties

  • Greet patients and help create a caring, pleasant, and welcoming office environment
  • Schedule appointments and assist patients with scheduling-related questions
  • Answer phone calls in a prompt and courteous manner, route calls when needed, and take accurate messages
  • Respond to common patient questions about scheduling, insurance information, directions, fees, and office procedures
  • Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes
  • Listen to patient concerns or complaints and help find appropriate solutions or direct them to the right team member
  • Build strong relationships with patients and co-workers through clear communication and teamwork
  • Support patient registration, record preparation, scheduling, insurance forms, service agreements, and other clerical office needs
  • Stay informed on insurance coverage, forms, procedures, claim payments, and contractual pricing
  • Use computers, office software, calculators, and related systems accurately and professionally
  • Communicate with the Doctor or Office Manager about ideas to reduce costs, solve problems, or improve office processes
  • Adapt to new work situations, people, procedures, and organizational needs
  • Maintain professionalism, reliability, composure, and strong ethics in all patient and office interactions
  • Assist with other duties and special projects as assigned
