Job Requirements

- Two years of relevant work experience

Job Duties
- Greet patients and visitors and direct them to appropriate services
- Escort patients to treatment areas
- Answer telephone promptly using professional etiquette
- Monitor patient flow and inform staff regarding priority orders
- Obtain and verify new patient information including insurance and referrals
- Assemble new patient records and manage no-show follow-ups
- Schedule diagnostic testing and obtain precertification for procedures
- Call in prescriptions and communicate test results under physician supervision
- Explain requirements for upcoming tests and procedures
- Perform opening and closing duties of the front desk
- Maintain contact with patients to reschedule or cancel appointments
- Collect and document co-payments and balance information
- Assist in departmental environment maintenance and infection control
