This full-time position is based in Plymouth, Massachusetts, requiring a 40-hour workweek, Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5 PM. The role is centered on delivering exceptional patient support and administrative assistance within a fast-paced healthcare environment. Employees in this position will play a pivotal role in ensuring accuracy in patient information, facilitating appointment scheduling, managing communications, and supporting the multidisciplinary care team. The successful candidate will be expected to coordinate care, provide excellent customer service, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team. The role offers an hourly wage ranging from $18 to $32, depending on experience and qualifications. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 1 year receptionist experience in healthcare setting
  • Minimum 1 year EMR experience
  • Access to reliable transportation
  • Ability to work full-time Monday to Friday 8 30 AM to 5 PM
  • Compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
  • Ability to handle a high volume fast-paced environment
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1 plus years of receptionist experience in healthcare setting
  • 1 plus years of EMR experience
  • Knowledge of EPIC software preferred
  • Experience in medical front office duties such as scheduling appointments verifying insurance collecting co-pays and maintaining medical records preferred
  • Ability to learn new software and attend training
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word Excel and Outlook
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently prioritize tasks and maintain good judgment
  • Ability to work well under pressure and collaborate with healthcare providers

Job Duties

  • Obtain accurate and updated patient information such as name address insurance information
  • Obtain patient signatures for required documents
  • Create and schedule appointments
  • Answer incoming and outgoing telephone calls promptly and courteously
  • Perform referral documentation promptly
  • Perform follow-up services for patients such as scheduling appointments obtaining lab results or specialist reports
  • Adhere to Optum employee policies and patient outreach targets
  • Work cohesively with team members to achieve goals
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and OSHA requirements
  • Participate in care planning and coordination with the multidisciplinary team
  • Ensure continuity of care through scheduling and tracking systems
  • Provide effective communication with patients family members and healthcare professionals
  • Comply with administrative policies to ensure quality of care
  • Scan documents monitor fax server and assign documents to electronic charts
  • Perform other duties as assigned
