The role of Patient Care Monitor/Greeter at MedMark Treatment Center is a critical position responsible for maintaining the safety, order, and security of the clinic facility. This full-time position requires a vigilant, courteous, and professional individual who can effectively interact with patients and staff while ensuring compliance with clinic policies. The Patient Care Monitor acts as the frontline greeter, verifying patient identification upon entry and managing patient flow to ensure a smooth and orderly process, especially during medication dispensing. This role also includes crowd control duties, monitoring the premises to prevent loitering and disruption, and promptly reporting any incidents or emergencies to the appropriate authorities or clinic leadership.

Beyond security responsibilities, the Patient Care Monitor may provide backup support to the receptionist, demonstrating flexibility and a team-oriented mindset. They are expected to perform regular security checks throughout the facility, collaborate with local law enforcement if necessary, and maintain a professional demeanor at all times, including wearing proper identification and attire. The position requires a proactive attitude toward creating a safe and welcoming environment for both patients and employees and demands excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.

This role offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $16.00 to $17.05, with final compensation based on experience, education, and training. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 years prior experience in an office/clinic setting
  • Training from a law enforcement school or other security training is strongly preferred
  • Able to establish a positive rapport with patients and must demonstrate a non-judgmental and accepting attitude toward the chemically dependent person
  • Satisfactory drug screen and background check

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Ensuring the protection of all employees and patients
  • Ensure that each patient entering the building has an I.D.
  • Creates orderly waiting line
  • have patients stand in single file while they are waiting to receive medication
  • Performs crowd control (makes sure that after dosing, patients leave the clinic timely, unless they have an appointment to see a staff person)
  • Eliminate loitering, congregating in the parking lot and premises
  • Report critical incidents that occur in parking lot or on premises
  • Contact local authorities and cooperate with authorities in an emergency situation, as needed
  • Respond to calls for assistance in preventing interference or disruption of operations (maintains order and control)
  • Reports and documents incidents whenever trouble or problems occur to the Operations Director and/or Clinic Director
  • Maintains a safe and secure environment throughout the building, protecting the property from damage and destruction
  • Performs security check of facility at regular intervals throughout the day
  • Attends staff meetings, in-service training as directed by supervisor
  • Maintain professional attire at all times, including name badge and paraphernalia that identifies you as a Security Guard
  • Be friendly, courteous and helpful to all disciplines, reception, clinical and medical
  • Provide receptionist coverage as needed
  • Perform other related duties as determined by supervisor
