Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous customer service experience required
  • 2+ years in a health care environment preferred
  • experience with Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • knowledge of HIPAA regulations
  • ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team

Job Qualifications

  • associates degree preferred
  • professional verbal and written communication
  • strong relationship building skills with patients, physicians, clinical staff
  • experience with Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • knowledge of HIPAA regulations
  • EMR/EHR experience a plus
  • previous customer service experience required
  • 2+ years in a health care environment preferred

Job Duties

  • Greet patients with a positive and professional attitude
  • place outbound calls to current and former patients for the purpose of scheduling follow-up hearing tests and consultations and weekly evaluations for the clinic
  • collect patient intake forms and maintain patient files/notes
  • schedule/confirm patient appointments
  • complete benefit checks and authorization for each patients' insurance
  • provide first level support to patients, answer questions, check patients in/out, and collect and process payments
  • process repairs under the direct supervision of a licensed Hearing Care Professional
  • prepare bank deposits and submit daily reports to finance
  • general sales knowledge for accessories and any patient support
  • process patient orders, receive all orders and verify pick up, input information into system
  • clean and maintain equipment and instruments
  • submit equipment and facility requests
  • general office duties, including cleaning
  • manage inventory, order/monitor stock, and submit supply orders as needed
  • assist with event planning and logistics for at least 1 community outreach event per month
