AudioNova in Charleston, SC, is currently seeking to hire a Patient Care Coordinator, located at 8700 N. Park Blvd. Suite A. This role is a full-time position, working Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., offering a competitive hourly wage of $18.00 to $20.00 along with a sales incentive bonus. The Patient Care Coordinator works closely with hearing care professionals and clinical staff to ensure the delivery of exceptional care and service quality for patients. This involves scheduling, insurance verification, patient intake management, supporting clinical operations, and providing first-level support to patients. The role requires strong communication and relationship-building skills, proficiency in software like Microsoft Office and Outlook, and knowledge of healthcare practices including HIPAA regulations. Experience with hearing aids and electronic health records is a plus, further enhancing the candidate's ability to support both patients and physicians efficiently.

Job Duties

  • Greet patients with a positive and professional attitude
  • place outbound calls to current and former patients for scheduling follow-up hearing tests and weekly evaluations
  • collect patient intake forms and maintain patient files and notes
  • schedule and confirm patient appointments
  • complete benefit checks and insurance authorization
  • provide first level support to patients including answering questions, checking in and out, collecting and processing payments
  • process repairs under supervision of a hearing care professional
