The Patient Care Coordinator role at AudioNova, a part of Sonova, is based in Bellevue, WA. This position offers an hourly wage of $23.00 to $24.00, along with a sales incentive program, and standard clinic hours from Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with no nights or weekends. The role is integral to the clinic's operation, working closely with clinical staff to ensure quality patient care and superior service. The Hearing Care Coordinator (HCC) supports not only patients but also referring physicians, facilitating communication and the smooth operation of daily clinic activities. The HCC handles appointment scheduling, insurance verification, patient intake, payment processing, and various administrative tasks, effectively acting as the front line for patient interactions. This role also involves assisting with minor repairs under professional supervision and supporting community outreach events, reflecting the company's commitment to patient care and community engagement. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a health care environment preferred
  • Previous customer service experience required
  • Professional communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
  • Willingness to support community outreach events

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associates degree preferred
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong relationship building skills with patients, physicians, and clinical staff
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
  • EMR/EHR experience is a plus
  • Prior experience or knowledge with hearing aids is a plus

Job Duties

  • Greet patients with a positive and professional attitude
  • Place outbound calls to current and former patients for appointment scheduling and clinic evaluations
  • Collect patient intake forms and maintain patient files and notes
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments
  • Complete insurance benefit checks and authorizations
  • Provide first level support to patients, answer questions, check patients in and out, and collect and process payments
  • Process repairs under direct supervision of a licensed Hearing Care Professional
  • Prepare bank deposits and submit daily financial reports
  • Maintain general sales knowledge for accessories and patient support
  • Process patient orders, verify pick up, and input information into system
  • Clean and maintain equipment and instruments
  • Submit equipment and facility requests
  • Perform general office duties including cleaning
  • Manage inventory, monitor stock, and submit supply orders
  • Assist with event planning and logistics for at least one community outreach event per month
