This commitment is reflected in a thriving and diverse workplace culture that emphasizes continuous improvement, resilience, self-motivation, and excellence. At Sonova, team members are united by a shared sense of pride and purpose, each contributing vital roles toward meaningful change in hearing health.
Located in Amherst, NY, the Patient Care Coordinator role at Empire Hearing & Audiology, part of AudioNova under the Sonova umbrella, offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about making a positive impact in patients' lives. This full-time position embraces a clinic environment where the Hearing Care Coordinator (HCC) works in close partnership with clinical staff, hearing care professionals, and referring physicians to ensure patients receive quality service and care. The HCC handles a broad scope of responsibilities including appointment scheduling, insurance verification, patient support, order processing, and inventory management. In this role, you'll have the chance to directly affect patient experiences while contributing to the efficient operation of the clinic.
The position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $18.00 to $22.00, supplemented by a sales incentive program. Operating Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, the role presents a healthy work-life balance with no night or weekend shifts required. Sonova offers comprehensive employee benefits including a 401K plan with company match, medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage, paid time off and holiday benefits, legal shield, identity theft protection, and even free hearing aids for all employees along with discounts for qualified family members. Employees also receive one floating holiday annually.
As a Hearing Care Coordinator, you will be the welcoming face to patients, providing first-level support, managing patient intake and records, confirming appointments, and verifying insurance benefits. The role also includes processing repairs, preparing daily financial reports, handling patient sales inquiries, maintaining clinic inventory, and assisting with community outreach events. This position requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a dynamic healthcare setting. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with an associate's degree preferred, and prior healthcare or hearing aid experience is a plus.
Joining Sonova means becoming part of a diverse team dedicated to growth, collaboration, and making a real difference. The company upholds a strong commitment to equal employment opportunities, ensuring inclusive and fair treatment for all candidates regardless of background or protected status. Whether you are experienced in healthcare or seeking a rewarding new career path, the Hearing Care Coordinator role offers an engaging environment to build your skills and contribute to a mission that values every voice and every story.
