UCHealth is currently seeking motivated individuals for the role of Patient Access Specialist. This position offers full-time employment at ambulatory care locations in Greeley, Colorado, including primary care and specialty care clinics. The Patient Access Specialist position is an onsite role that does not offer hybrid or remote work options. The pay range for this role is $19.67 to $25.57 per hour, depending on the applicant's relevant experience. In the role of Patient Access Specialist, you will perform a variety of receptionist, registration, and clerical duties critical to patient intake and registration for healthcare services. It involves direct communication with patients and their caregivers to obtain necessary information and documentation, provide explanations about visits and instructions, and address questions and concerns. This role also requires coordination with referring providers, clinical departments, and other personnel to ensure scheduling accuracy and information exchange.

Key responsibilities include verifying insurance benefits and obtaining pre-certifications or authorizations, determining and collecting required payments such as co-pays and deductibles, and referring patients to financial counselors when necessary. You will ensure all demographic, billing, and clinical information is accurately and timely entered into the registration system. This position requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Adaptability and effective communication skills are essential to support patient access operations smoothly.

Job Requirements

Job Duties
