Job Requirements
- High school diploma required
- 1-3 years clerical experience preferred
- Customer service experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Excellent telephone etiquette
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines
- Knowledgeable of various computer systems
- Ability to use 10-key calculator and computer keyboard
- Physical ability to lift 50 lbs regularly
- Capability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
- Ability to bend, kneel, twist, and squat during work
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma
- 1-3 years clerical and customer service experience preferred
- Experience with medical terminology and insurance plans preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Excellent telephone etiquette
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to establish positive working relationships
- Knowledgeable in computer systems and use of 10-key calculator
Job Duties
- Serve as the first point of contact for patients
- Facilitate patient scheduling and registration
- Verify patient insurance benefits and perform pre-certifications
- Handle financial clearance and pre-visit collections
- Ensure accurate patient data entry and maintenance
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and insurance companies
- Maintain compliance with Medicare guidelines and federal, state regulations
